The first morning

We went out and it was tipping down with rain, walked around a couple of blocks to get an idea where we were and went to the "World Famous Sears Fine Food" (www.searsfinefood.com) restaurant and had a nice relaxing meal. We sat on a table looking out onto the street, seeing the cable cars going by with people sheltering from the rain. The restaurant was old fashioned Italian, with pictures of family members and famous visitors on the wall.

After the meal, we just collapsed in the hotel and had a remarkable good sleep. Now we had our shower and are ready to have breakfast in the diner at the corner.
